(ITEM#1)Tibetan bells and dorje are for Tibetan prayer practices. They send the prayers out on a wave of sound. The bell (Tibetan: drilbu) represents female energy, while the vajra (Sanskrit, Tibetan is dorje) symbolizes the lightning bolt. They are said to represent compassion and wisdom, respectively. Our bells are made of seven metal & give a very beautiful sound. The supreme symbol of Vajrayana is the diamond scepter. In Tibet, it is used as a weapon for vanquishing demons. In Western culture it is often used in Feng Shui for space clearing. The vajra is held in the right hand and the bell in the left as the relevant ritual hand-gestures (mudra) are performed. The bell is struck with the dorje and the wood mallet is spun on the bottom ridge of the bell to create a resonant, continuous tone. Each bell comes with a dorje and mallet. (ITEM#2)If you go to a concert with singing bowls, you will usually come across the penetrating singing sound of tingshaws. Like singing bowls, these small cymbals, which are usually attached to either end of a cord or leather thong, are ritual artifacts. They are used by Buddhist monks but are also used in the Shamanist tradition. It is no longer clear who first used them but it is known that in general they are made of seven metals, just like singing bowls. In tingshaws the iron is replaced by meteorite, the 'celestial' metal which is taken from fragments of meteors and gives the instruments their pearly shine. The final alloy is cast and turned to obtain a pure form and sound. The sound of tingshaws is like a summons. It brings man to the here and now. In meditation tingshaws are used to indicate the beginning and the end. In Tibetan Buddhist meditation rituals tingshaws are used in different ways. One way is as a summons: the Buddha, in one of his aspects, a deity or a spirit is summoned by the sound while the sound is also an offering to the summoner Cat#TBTNG01 Assorted Styles,22.95 per set of two.

(ITEM#3)Tibetan Dragon Wash Bowl If you haven’t seen these before, it’s because they are relatively rare in the United States. Each bowl is hand-cast out of Green Patina Brass, with a fine detailing of intertwined Dragons etched in the bottom. The bowls are toned similar to singing bowls. Wetting your hands in the water and then rubbing them firming on the brass handles, a toning sound occurs. As the tone emits, small sprinkles of water rise from the bowl. Legend has it the higher the water splashes to your face, the longer your longevity on this earth. Cat# TBWB01, 149.95
